Solar Training: Solar Thermal Panel Training
We offer two solar energy courses, solar photovoltaic training and solar thermal training, in line with the two main types of solar panels available.
Solar Thermal Panels use solar energy to heat hot water. This course will cover Solar Domestic Hot Water Systems and will show you how to install and maintain these solar panels.
The solar training course covers the predominant North European fluid filled, indirect solar water heating systems.
Our solar training course includes:
- Solar Thermal regulations and standards
- Solar thermal collector types
- Solar thermal heated storage types
- Solar thermal primary system types
- Basic solar thermal system design & integration
- Solar thermal internal & external site surveys
- Solar panel Installation Materials & Methods
- Solar panel servicing and fault finding
- Solar panel filling & commissioning
Having completed our solar training, you will also learn about the Microgeneration Certification Scheme.
The Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS) is an independent scheme that certifies microgeneration products and installers in accordance with recognised standards. The scheme is widely respected throughout the renewable technology industry and has the backing of most organisations concerned with climate change. You need to be MCS accredited to get the grants available for Solar Thermal Panels.
